Digital activity

Fun day out

Screen shot from Goods and services activity

Year level: 5 - 6
Learning area: Mathematics

This Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) MoneySmart Teaching digital activity gives learners a chance to organise a 'day out' for their class. They choose where they would like to go, how they will get there, what they will eat for the day, and what activities they can afford to take part in when they get there. These choices all need to fit in to a fixed budget. Those making wise decisions and having money left over will be able to buy a souvenir at the end of the day.

For more information on how to use the activity with children in the classroom or at home read the Teacher notes or Parent notes under 'Using this activity'.
