Year level: 3 - 4
Learning area: Mathematics

This Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) MoneySmart Teaching digital activity allows learners to select a theme for a birthday party and decide how many people will come. They get allocated a budget to work with and then calculate what they can afford to buy to make sure everyone is catered for at their birthday party, deciding between what they need and what they want.

For more information on how to use the activity with children in the classroom or at home read the Teacher notes or Parent notes under 'Using this activity'.
