Master of the Mall - NSW Office of Fair Trading

Master of the Mall is an interactive computer-based game.  It teaches students about their rights as consumers and as potential employees in the workforce. It is set inside a virtual shopping centre and students interact with other characters in various stores. The game can be played at a number of levels as students' knowledge increases. To win, students need to complete a number of missions which test their knowledge of their rights as a shopper and as an employee.

The game can be accessed from the internet or played from the CD-ROM enclosed in the teacher manual. It is filled with quizzes and a range of other activities. The teacher's manual contains activities, a video and worksheets. This game and other resources could be used for lessons, units or in course development.

The New South Wales Office of Fair Trading contains a youth section which has a range of resources and information for teachers and students.
